    M / s, Kanti Floor Furnishers was established in the year 1930. In the initial stage, it was manufacturing feeder unit and was a sister concern to its parent organization namely M / s. Commercial Emporium, which was looking after the exports. From the year 1956 onwards, M / s. Kanti Floor Furnishers started to export in its own name. The company was founded by late. Mr. Murukandi Pillai. At present, it is managed by Mr. M. Kalyana Sundaram, who had been in this business for the last 39 years.
    M / s. Kanti Floor Furnishers was awarded Gold Medal for the year 1987-88 and Silver Medal for the year 1988-89 for the best export performance for coir products and Certificate of merit for the year 1996-97.
    Currently the company is dealing in Coir Mats, Coir Matting, Coir Area Rugs, Coir Carpets, Jute Matting, Jute Area Rugs and Rubber Ring Mats, Needle Punch Polypropylene Door Mats, Aqua Hog Mats, Car Mats, Recycled Tyre Mats, Rubber Embossed Coir Mats, 100% Rubber Mats, Power loom Coir Mats and semi mechanised mattings.
    Currently we are exporting on an average twenty 40' Containers in a month. We have an additional capacity of around 15 Containers more per month.
    We are having three factories namely Bala Shearing Factory, Vinod Coir Works & MGM Coir Industries and also we have five factories on lease with us. The factories Bala & Vinod are located in Puthanangady near Cherthala, which is around 20Km from Alleppey town in approximately one-acre land and building with approximately 50, 000Sqft in area. An additional factory is at Coir Park Thiruvizha having a land of 90 cents with a building of approximately 10, 000 Sqft.
    We have a small laboratory for testing various colors and the major tests are undertaken at SGS; Madras, CFC; Changanassery and CCRI; Kalavoor.
    We have our own staffs who look after the quality. If needed, the goods are also inspected by Coir Board Inspectors, which is the official agency for quality control for Coir Products.
