Introduce:: We, "Basic Steel Trading ", have been dealing with iron & steel business in Turkey for seven years. We are mainly active in the scrap, pig iron, billets, hot and cold rolled coils, plates, deformed bars, wire rods and steel tubes.
We have a warehouse and we import flat products such as coils, plates, forged round bars, hot rolled bars to our stock in Istanbul, especially from Ukraine Bulgaria and China for our local market. Our volumes for the last five years are about 50. 000 mt annually.
We are running scrap activity with our Ukrainian and Russian suppliers and we have been in the market for the last four years. We import scrap from Ukraine and Russia to Turkey and handle between 10. 000 and 15. 000 mt monthly. With some of this scrap we go into processing business where we give scrap to our Turkish steel mill and get billet in return for export, and we supply rest of the scrap to other iron and steel factories in Turkey.
