    Mercader Cork Group has been dealing in the cork sector for the past 50 years. It specialises in everything to do with cork, from the purchase of harvested cork to the sale of cork stoppers around the world.

    In 1952, Narcis Mercader Pujades set up his own business in a small unit in Cassa de la Selva after having worked for 6 years in a pioneering cork company.

    That small unit turned into a small factory and began exporting to France. In 1986 he changed from being a sole trader to found Narciso Mercader, SL.

    It is worth noting that harvested cork was already purchased from the south of Spain between 1960 and 1962 and in 1994 Corchos Talavera, SL was founded to deal in the purchase and preparation of harvested cork on a 16,000 m2 plot of land in Navahermosa (Toledo).
