    JV WITH SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC

    A Joint Venture Agreement between Luminous and Schneider Electric (www.schneider-electric.co.in) has recently been signed in which Schneider Electric will hold 74 % equity in Luminous Power Technologies.
    Schneider Electric is 20 Euro Billion (126000 Crore) Energy management company with leadership position in multiple markets , including energy and infrastructure , industrial process, building automation, data centers / networks, as well as broad presence in residential applications . Luminous will become a part of the IT business of Schneider Electric which is a global leader in integrated critical power and cooling, providing hardware, software and services for the residential, business network , data center and manufacturing environment .
    The combination of Schneider Electric IT Business and Luminous will generate tremendous opportunities for the business to become the leader in India in the Inverter market which is 4500 CRore and growing at about 20 % YOY. Luminous brings an exceptional product portfolio. The renewable and telecom activities of Luminous get a strong impetus from the energy management capabilities of Schneider Electric.<
