    North Malaya Engineers Trading Co Sdn Bhd, (NMET) was established in January 1961. The company started as a manufacturer of wire mesh for reinforced concrete and barbed wires.

    NMET is now one of the largest manufacturers for low carbon and high carbon steel wires, galvanized steel wires, CO2 welding wires, reinforced concrete mesh, galvanized steel wire mesh, barbed wires, annealed wires and wire nails in the country.
