    The predecessors of Shanghai Electric International Economic & Trading Co., Ltd. are Shanghai Machinery and Equipment Import & Export Corporation and Shanghai SMEC Corporation which was established in 1995. We restructured in 2004 and changed the company name into the present one. After restructuring, our capital amounts to USD42,682,000.

    Our investors are Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Machine Tool Works Ltd. with respective investment ratio of 99% and 1%. Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. (http://www.chinasec.com) is the largest enterprise group of design, manufacture and sales of power generation equipment and mechanical equipment in China. Having an annual import and export volume of over USD200,000,000, our company is a significant base of Shanghai Electric Group, specializing in international trade and investment.
