    Since its inception in 1969 (more than 40 years ago) MCB SWITCHBOARDS has established a reputation of quality, excellence and innovation in the field of electrical distribution boards and allied fields.

    We are able to purpose build the following products according to all the relevant specifications and to the needs of clients in Mild Steel, Galvanised, 3CR12 or various grades of Stainless Steel:

    Main electrical distribution boards (floorstanding or wall mounted)
    Sub distribution boards (surface, flush or semi-flush)
    Outdoor distribution boards (weatherproof)
    Motor control centres
    Automatic power factor correction panels
    PLC & VSD control panels

    Tests performed by SANS / NETFA for low voltage switchgear and control assemblies complied with the following specifications.

    SANS 1973 1 (Assemblies above 10kA)
    SANS 1973 3 (Assemblies up to & including 10kA)
    SANS 60439 1 (Low voltage switchgear assemblies)

    The following tests were performed:

    Temperature rise test
    Verification of dielectric properties
    Verification of short circuit withstand strength
    Verification of the continuity of protective circuit
    Verification of clearances and creepage distance
    Verification of mechanical operation
    Verification of degree of protection
    30kA fault level test, 3 seconds
    50kA fault level test, 1 second
    Distribution pillars & metering kiosks
    Generator change over panels
