    Recovaloriza, Lda., has as its main activity the collection and recycling of used cooking oil / waste vegetable oil (WVO) and other wastes that may be considered as potentially recyclable or reusable.
    Recovaloriza, characterised by a young and irreverent spirit, was born to engage in traditional economic activities, with new business models, and contribute to new forms of economic and social organization.

    One of the flexibility mechanisms imposed by the Kyoto protocol Recovaloriza is involved with is the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). The involvement in this new line of business meant that the company had to create a new entity so to better streamline its activities - RecoTrading is the entity responsible for meeting customer requirements in this industry sector.

    Carbon credits from CDM are called Certified Emission Reduction (CERs). These are the products RecoTrading brokerage is specialized on.
