- Samaki Transworld Links was started in 1969 as a seafood exporting company in India. Overtime, it became the leading exporter and importer of food materials and today, it has got its factories in India, Tanzania and Switzerland. In India, Samaki has got four associated factories in Mumbai, Veraval and Kochi fro where many varieties of seafood is exported to Europe, USA, Mauritius and Iran. Main items of export include squid, cuttlefish, shrimps, octopus, tuna, ribbonfish, king fish, fish fillets, reef cod, red snapper, sardines, mackerel, and other variets of fishes like parrot fish, green job, emperor, pomfret, croaker, big eye illisha, corvina, mahi mahi, baracuda, etc. In Bukoba, Tanzania we have a unit that manufactures and export nile perch fillets to Mauritius and Europe. We supply seafood to them for the Chinese market like ribbonfish, kati, croaker, pomfret, octopus and cuttlefish. Apart from that, we have been exporting spices and seasonings to Mauritius also.
