    Yemen is blessed with its unique geographical position of Red sea ,Arabian sea and Gulf of Aden. The shelf waters of Yemen are richest resources of wide varieties of commercial fish species. The coastal line which extends from west of Oman boarder to the Saudi Arabian boarder in the Red sea is approximately about 2500 km. In addition to that many Islands comprising of Socotra Archipelago, Kamaran, Mayoon etc. contribute to the domination of territorial waters of Yemen.
    From this golden coast, within a few years Sheher fisheries company is emerged, as Yemen's top seafood supplier to international markets. The plant has a daily capacity to produce 20 Mt frozen products and 10 Mt fresh chilled products with a cold storage capacity of 1000 Mt. and also a block ice unit with 20Mt capacity.
