Introduce:: Vel Pitar Company is the leader of Romanian market in bread and bakery specialities and an important player in the field of producing and distributing biscuits, wafers, confectionery and pastry specialities.

In April 2007 the company divided into three autonomous businesses, each of them being focused on a different activity: Vel Pitar produces bread and bakery products, Sapte Spice milling products and VP Magassin covers the retail side of the group.

Vel Pitar and the other two companies are owned by the American Investment Fund Broadhurst Investments Ltd., managed in Romania by New Century Holdings.
