It has been granted by the state such titles as class-1 state enterprise, class-1 unit for measuring and calibration, star enterprise, outstanding enterprise for quality and economic results. It has an enterprise technology center designated by the state.
Dalian shipyard has a strong technical contingent and a complete set of production facilities. It carries out design and production according to a series of standards of the iso9001 quality management and assurance system. It boasts the permit issued by the national quality and technology supervision bureau for manufacturing grade-ar2 pressure vessels, and the qualification certificates issued by the china state shipbuilding corporation for designing types 1,2and 3 pressure vessels. For the item of 'complex steel plate welded by means of controlled explosion', it has been designated by the national science and technology commission as the technologically reliant unit in the key programmes for popularizing national-level scientific and technological achievements.
