Introduce:: McLellan Pacific International, Inc. (MPI, Inc.) was founded in the late 1980's to serve buyers, sellers, and brokers of industrial raw materials for import and export. MPI, Inc.'s experts began making trips to China in 1989, and in a joint venture with Pacific Basin Resources, our company signed the first exclusive marketing contract with Antai Coking Co. (the first privately owned coke plant in China) regarding its metallurgical coke for the North American market. MPI, Inc. also became the exclusive marketing broker for Xiao Shan Cokeries for the North American market.

Other businesses we have been involved with include, but are not limited to, Section 29 rig placements; importation of ferro alloys to the United States and Mexico from China, Brazil, and South Africa; exportation of iron ore and scrap rolling mill rolls to China; and importation of silica brick from China.

In the more recent past, MPI, Inc. concluded a joint venture contract, involving Global Material Sales, Inc. and Steel City Coal & Coke, LLC, which supplied Arcelor* with coal from the United States to their plants in Spain and France. This contract involved the shipment of approximately 490,000 tons of coal on a total of seven Panamax vessels.
