Soap nuts or Aretha as you call them in many Indian languages are a great natural cleanser. These fruits contain saponin, an active cleaning agent. So they serve as a body wash, a shampoo, a detergent and a general purpose cleaner. They are ideal for washing delicate silks, colored clothes as they reduce color bleed, jewelry and other precious metals and babies clothes as they are very gentle.
Instructions for use Place 4 to 6 soap nuts in the small cotton bag provided. Place the bag in the detergent compartment of your washing machine for a full load of washing. You can reuse the same for up to 3 washes.
