    THE SOUTH INDIA SAIVA SIDDHANTA WORKS PUBLISHING SOCIETY TINNEVELY LTD STARTED PUBLISHING BOOKS SINCE 1916. Since then continuosly publishing books in TAMIL. We the first to bring JAMES ALLEN works in Tamil Translation. We sell books very much informative to the public. People come in search of the best books to our shop. Our Mr. V.Subbiah Pillai was honoured with PADMASHRI award for best performance in TAMIL BOOKS PUBLISHING FIELD. He sold books by placing a set of books in Almirah specially designed for this and it was called as SANGA ILLAKIYA PEZHAI. THE First one was bought by Dr.M.G.R. inthose days itself the cost of one PEZHAI was around Rs.5000/- Abd our co has bagged an Award for best binding "BOUND BOOKS (LEATHER) IN THE YEAR 1956 from ALL INDIA PRINTERS ASSOCIATION. For the past 4 years we have totally changed the reading trend in Tamilnadu especially in Chennai by conducting the Chennai Book Fair in a very large scale. Our MD Mr. R.Muthukumaraswamy is now the President of "The Booksellers' & Publishers' Association of South India, Chennai. Our company goal is to publish books in tamil with authentic information and which is very much useful to the Public. Our present General Manager M.Kumarasubbiah is now concentrating much on overseas market and Last Month The Singapore Goverment has recognised our TAMIL-Tamil Dictionary and asked all the schools in Singapore to buy the Book. Along with this we are trying to re-establish ourself in Malaysia also. We ahve six branches in tamilnadu 1. Nellai 2. Madurai 3. Trichy 4. Kumbakkonam 5. Salem 6. Coimbattur apart from this we have a small shop inside Madurai MEENAKSI AMMAN TEMPLE.
