    AZIZ RICE MILLS (PVT) LIMITED
    A BRIEF PROFILE
    Formerly known as DOABA Rice Mill, this, and five similar strategically located UNITS were installed by the Punjab Industrial Development Board in prominent paddy growing areas of the Punjab. To achieve best husking and processing results, plant and machinery were imported from and installed by SCHULE Germany, the renowned manufacturers of high quality rice machinery. These Units were managed by Rice Export Corporation of Pakistan (RECP) and rice exported from Pakistan was processed in these mills. In order to divert rice business to the private sector these Units were privatized.
    Divine Developers (Pvt) Limited, the parent company in the Divine Group, primarily engaged in land development and construction of commercial buildings and residential colonies and town houses possesses a very wide asset base. Other companies forming part of the Group are Divine Poultry Farms, Divine CNG and Petrol Pumps, and Honda Point. In the year 2004, sincerely sponsored and professionally managed, the Divine Group purchased one of the DOABA Units known as MUBARIC RICE MILL from a private party which had bought it from the Privatization Commission. This Unit was renamed as AZIZ RICE MILLS.
    Originally spread over more than 8 acres or 288, 000 sq feet of land with a covered area of 70, 000 sq feet, the mill is located at 16Km Shahdara Kala Khatai Road, Distt. Sheikhupura. After its take over, the company has made remarkable improvements in the plant and machinery and infrastructure of the Unit which have enhanced both the production and storage capacity and appearance of the mill. Since its purchase, more than 5 acres of land including one acre at the front has been added to the land holding of the mill. Buildings more than 5, 000 sq feet have been constructed while roofs and floors of the existing warehouses, the Mill Room and other Stores have been refurbished to last long and wear a new look as well.
    Drying capacity of the Unit has been doubled with the addition of an automatic paddy dryer of capacity of 2000 bags of paddy per 24 hours. Whitening and polishing of rice plays a very important role in the process of making it acceptable in the local and export market. Old machines have been replaced by four brand new imported polishing machines each with capacity of 2. 5 M. Ton of rice per hour. Mill had already got sufficient storage capacity of more than 200, 000 bags of paddy or rice. In order to hold paddy during the process of drying, six steel silos of capacity 2500 bags each have been installed.
    At present the husking and processing capacity of the mill is 5 metric tons per hour. We are supplying branded rice in consumer packing to stores like MAKRO, METRO and CSD shops in big cities and also to some exporters. We have finalized plan to install a separate reprocessing unit of 5 ton c
