    1943: Hart Holmberg opens a carpentry shop producing customized cribbage boards, chess sets, and other card game devices of wood and metal in many interesting forms. They began to take on custom jobs utilizing varied manufacturing techniques for companies, primarily custom painting and sheet metal work, one of which was Ski-Doo snowmobiles.

    1955: Hart, Ed Bjork, Harry Holmberg and Hartvig Hart Holmberg begin to produce metal edged skis in St. Paul, Minnesota.

    1960's: Hart dominates the ski market of American skiers. It sponsers some film classics by Warren Miller, notable the Skiing the Outer Limits movie, which won awards. Hart's Demo Team becomes pioneers of a new way of skiing, the freestyle.

    1966: Hart produces Javelin, one of the first skis in metal and fiberglass.

    1969: Hart sale to the multinational Beatrice Foods of Chicago is finalized.

    1971: Billy Kidd, Olympic medal winner, advisor and designer for Hart, gains the first edition of the World-wide Championship Professionals with the skis Hart crafted for him, the Competition.

    1977: Mortgage bankers of Minnesota aquires Hart from Beatrice Foods.

    1981: Hart is aquired by Jim and Jack Bjork, siblings of one of the founders.

    1984: Hart introduces the Comp, the first ski with wood okume and honeycomb structure in aluminum. Results: Great performance, lightness, and versitity. Throughout the 1980's Hart dominates all competitions of Freestyle.

    1991: Hart Comp SL, construction torsion box with honeycomb in aluminum is born. IAS System(Internal Absorbtion Shock)guarantees an optimal stability at elevated speeds.

    1994: The Olympic Games in Lillihammer, Norway:9 of the 12 athletes of the American ski team use Freestyle by Hart.2 medals:1 silver and 1 gold.

    1995: Hart athletes dominate the World of Freestyle in Clusaz, France.6 medals are won,4 of which are gold.

    1997: Hart Ski Manufacturing, is acquired by United Sports Group.

    2000: Jim Bjork retires and Hart Ski Manufacturing shuts down.

    2003: Hart Ski Manufacturing is reborn by Bill Holmberg, grandson of the founder, Hartvig Holmberg. He pledges the company will slowly reintroduce a well built and durable ski for the beginning to advanced skiers, and move into Freestyle technologies once again in due time.
