    Introduce:
    Grand Bell Trading brand owner of SKIVA range of lingerie, was incorporated on November 22, 2004.

    Our principal core business is in the manufacturing, retailing and trading of female undergarments. The company acquired the SKIVA brand, which is a popular local brand name of almost 30 years, on January 28, 2005.

    Since the acquisition of SKIVA brand, the Company has successfully undertaken a re-branding exercise in 2006 to heighten brand awareness catering to the middle and upper middle segments of the domestic market. Today, it has also become an international brand in new export markets such as Singapore and new emerging ASEAN economies, Maldives and Turkey.

    On the domestic front, SKIVA has almost 5% share of the middle and upper middle market segments. Its products are locally manufactured by its sister company, Double Wonder, and distributed through more than 65 leading departmental stores, 20 SKIVA boutiques and 20 outright dealer. Having satisfactorily maintained an average annual turnover of between six and seven per cent in the domestic market, SKIVA is confident of elevating its market position with its existing re-branding programmes.

    In line with its re-branding direction is the need to phase out its presence in hypermarkets. By doing so, it enables the brand to enhance and strengthen its market position in the middle and upper level of the market segments. It will be supported by the opening of more than 20 SKIVA boutiques throughout the country to cater to consumer needs, thus emphasizing on the high quality of SKIVA products which are easily affordable yet stylish and comfortable. SKIVA posted an annual turnover of about RM20 million and RM21 million in 2005/06 and 2006/07, respectively. The brand is expected to achieve a projected growth of about 20 per cent for 2008.
    Among the most remarkable turnover performance for 2007 was the achievement of its SOGO outlet where sales hit RM2.2 million within 12 months of its previous accounting year which is equivalent to 20% of the total lingerie sales in SOGO (consists of 8 brands). This achievement proudly earned SKIVA a platinum award and ranked as among the top selling brands in the SOGO department store. We believed we are able to achieve good results in other department stores if we are given a chance.

    In continuously keeping abreast with the latest fashion trends, consumer tastes and to remain competitive in both the domestic and export markets, the company allocates about eight per cent of its annual turnover to research and development programmes.

    Moving forward in 2008, priority was placed to set up an in-house product development department in April. This new team is responsible for all research and development (R&D) programmes. Efforts of the R&D department will play a pivotal role for SKIVA to carve a niche in the
