OJSC Vitebsk carpets

Vitebsk Carpets is one of the oldest enterprises in the textile industry of the Republic of Belarus. At the same time, this is an enterprise that produces modern and competitive products that meet all consumer needs. The advantage of Vitebsk Carpets OJSC is the use of two completely different technologies for the production of carpet floor coverings: woven and stitched (tufted) types of production. In 1998, a new era began in the development of Vitebsk Carpets OJSC - the development of double-sheet carpet weaving on modern weaving looms with an electronic jacquard machine was chosen as a priority direction. This decision resulted in a number of successful investment projects and a significant update of the fleet of technological equipment for the production of woven carpets. The next step was in 2003 the modernization of the production of tufted carpets by introducing a new nozzle technology for printing "Chromojet" on the pile surface of carpets. The beginning thus laid served as the starting point for a comprehensive modernization and renewal of both equipment and therange of products, and indeed the entire enterprise as a whole. In 2012 and 2015, the implementation of projects for the acquisition of 2 modern Chromojet printing installations from Zimmer made it possible not only to increase the production volume of coatings, but also to reach a new level of quality of the printed pattern through the use of nozzles with a resolution of 25 dpi, to expand the range of piercing carpets according to color design. Today, the enterprise is equipped with modern equipment that allows it to compete with the world's leading manufacturers in the market of woven and stitched carpets and products. As part of the State Program for InnovativeDevelopment of the Republic of Belarus, the innovative project "Mastering the technology for the production of polypropylene threads" was successfully implemented and in 2019 the first tons of polypropylene thread were produced using a full technological cycle from new European equipment: an extrusion line, twisting machines, and a heat setting machine. In 2020, a branch "Brest Carpets" was created in Brest, which allowed not only to increase the production capacity of the enterprise, but also to expand the range of woven products with high density characteristics. Today the company produces a wide range of carpet products: two-piece carpets with polypropylene pile of various qualities Heat-set, BCF, Frize, including Shaggy, mats, carpets with polyester and combined pile (combination of polyester and polypropylene threads), carpets with a combination of different types of pile base weaves: cut pile - loop - flat, with relief cutting, carpets using high-shrinkage polyester thread in individual elements of the pattern, carpets with the participation of weft from chenille yarn in the patterns, carpets using wool yarn, tufted coverings with loop, cut, relief pile with a printed pattern, coverings with cut pile of the "Artificial grass" type, coverings based on TPE and a backing with the "anti- slip" effect. The active investment policy of JSC Vitebsk Carpets, aimed at high quality of manufactured products, technical re-equipment, expansion and updating of the range of design, color and raw material composition, allows the enterprise to occupy a worthy place in the consumer market.
